The cool thing about living in a real country (i.e. not Australia) is that I don't have to recognize anything. I don't have to claim anyone. And I don't have to respect anyone as a leader. He's not a god. He's ultimately responsible to ME. Without ME he is nothing. So who's in charge, really?

Wicked; you seem to have Australia confused with a country such as Zimbabwe. We don't live in a dictatorship. In fact, our democracy works better than yours because things such as compulsory voting ensure that our Prime Minister is actually elected by the majority of the population. Also, we have the ability to say and do as we like without the fear of being thrown in prison for being suspected of terroristic behaviour and we don't have to suffer imbecilic puritans in the government and popular media (which is what this thread was originally about).

I know plenty about Australia. I've been there, and I dated an Australian.
