I'm leaving this message on quite a few places, 'cause I'm getting kind of pissed at the amounts of virus email I recieve these days. People do not seem to defend themselves against virus attacks. The majority of those people, probably lacks the skill to do so. I have therefor decided to offer the software needed, including a small explanation on how to use it.

People, download and use this. It'll save a whole lot of people a heavy headache, and the need to download about 1500 Kb a day of crap mail.

Was sent a bad virus last week Worm virus, even though we had PC Penicillin the virus still got through & we had to have the system cleaned!!! (Ended up finding 4 viruses in total!!!)



All sorted now though & have now installed 2 virus killers!!

I can't understand the mentality of someone who makes viruses. Do they get up in the morning and think 'hmmm...maybe I'll fuck up some innocent persons system that they paid $2000 for today. Or will I just watch TV. hmmm'

Firewalls do NOT prevent mail viruses, only internet hacking attempts. Also, firewalls cannot prevent viruses from spreading via floppies and the such, nor prevent spreading between individual computers within the LAN itself. A firewall is for network security, not virus protection.

They keep the virusscanner companies alive (conspiracy, anyone?), *sarcasm* they get "1337ness" (eliteness) points for their succesful viruses */sarcasm*, they think themselves cool. Basically, they show that they can use Outlook a bit, and show that Micky$oft still cannot make decent software. Ah well.

I use the latest .. McAfee VS very cool and regarding your post AET.. you are completely right .. Firewalls actually just .. watch and enact for intrusions (undesirable or unsolicited packets , port accesses , ip’s etc ) and it really depends on the firewall ..but viruses ….. well going in the wrong web page could get you infected , since IE so wonderfully saves “everything “ and half the time people just don’t read…or have a clue about anything ..but man specially with e mail .. I have my e mail server well away from my LAN .. Email servers are a necessary evil .. LOL I mean .. and its simply because .. you CAN’T expect end users to be responsible it’s a very small percent .. that actually acknowledge .. this responsibility … hell I’ve met .. Net Admins .. that don’t LOL and now thanks to microfuck packet attacks , real .. packet attacks can seriously fuck hard working companies … and make an IT guy, life impossible … shit before it was .. just servers ..we had to worry bout and now the hole PC market was added to the fucking list ..thanks to XP’s “extras “ shit .. now thouse fucking worms have .. millions of mirrors from which they can be replicated … rendering helpless any server … shit .. hopefully your isp .. will take some care on this subject and minimize the consequence , cause unfortunately .. is only there that a stand point could be set…rather than make millions think , ahh .. I mean get an AV update your AV … you can still get infected .. but at that point its not your fault .. you are just unlucky … sure there’s a million other way you can implement to make almost inexpugnable your system but .. not everybody has the know how and enthusiasm … so its not your fault …

Having a PC and no AV its like having a PC and no Power supply ..with surge protection … the same way its your fucking fault .. when you lose your complete work , document , whatever …. because you don’t fucking save it often… or because you continue to use a 2 year old diskette … and keep no backup .. man….

Sorry I was a bit unclear on that one… I was referring to the girl I helped , LOL but I got a bit over exited and mixed …, the policies was meant as a subject apart … they can’t do shit in the office LMAO . can’t even use the start button , the software they use opens automatically and usual shortcut keys , are gone as well , even the task bar is invisible .. they basically can type and use the mouse , and click on a button in the middle of the desktop that shuts down the machine , they have no rights and I administer them from my station most of the time although I enjoy. going to the field specially when there’s a cute clerk girl in the station or just to talk with them when is low season .. . well except for the owners and high executives .. but they use a separate network on a separate switch to have internet and they are in most cases disciplined enough to follow instructions , but mostly incredibly paranoid because of the crack of shit I’ve told them .. so they conveniently call me on any pertinent event , and after a while they stopped annoying me .. they are well trained now …
