Now, I imagine that I'm not the only one who holds a full time job, that being, does anyone else find that Spring Break is nothing big? I don't really watch TV, so I don't catch the usual MTV 'Spring Break' shit, or the VH1 'Spring Break Videos', or the Nickelodeon 'Nick Beach Toons' or something. So someone this week asked me "What're you doing for Spring Break?". After my initial confusion due to the fact that I couldn't remember what Spring Break was actually for, and then the confusion on how long SB is, I responded with "Uhhh...working?".

So, all these parties, videos, and other random shit have more or less lost meaning to me. The only real meaning it ever had was missing school for that week. But now, it seems very...random. There is nothing really special about this week. I think whoever made SB was probably just some jackass looking for an excuse to get off of work for a week, lol.

Anyone else have this sense that this "holiday" is rather meaningless now that you are "unable to participate" due to one reason or another?

I used to like Spring Break, but now that I don't have one, I don't give a shit about it. I do, however, hate the traditional Girls Gone Wild spring break, though.

Uhh...I work in a warehouse. I don't see any funpillow around. Just lots of shelves with lots of heavy boxes on them that I have to repeatedly pick up.

Much like Anti, I don't have a SB, there for, its quite meaningless to me.

And I fuckin' hate GGW. Such a stupid series. Although, the Snoop Dawg one was just fuckin' hillarious. That man would be awesome to try and have an intelligent conversation with.

spring break has never meant shit to me because i live in new zealand so ive only really been given the impression of it being about lots of young people being drunken idiots in little clothing, would that be the gist of it?

I had a week off from school. It's been rather relaxing. Whoo, spring break.

I think I may go out to the beach for the summer,but that is,if I have worked enough,and saved up some money,and can afford a hiatus.So, there was no spring break this year,there might be a summer,or may not be.Next spring break, I'll do somethin...yeah.

My spring break starts next next week...april....rather late i guess...i'm trying to convince my dad to let me visit colleges.......lovely way to spend senior year in hs..no?

when i was in HS/fresh college-univ. There wasn't even an 'orginized' spring break.. it was campus parties and such..

And now i have my 12 YO(well, this weekend he will be) spending most of the week here and i have work as well... Whats spring break????

Bah, I work at a college, so everyone else is on a Spring Break for 2 weeks, whereas I get a long weekend. wooo!

Still, musn't grumble, at least I'm getting paid for spending my time on DF, unlike when I'm doing it from home.

There is that. I miss those days. Hopefully I'll be able to land a job here at the new campus where I can do the same thing again.

Thanks. It's a different game altogether here. I don't know anyone on campus, so I don't really have any inside help here. Guess I'll just have to hit the Career Opportunity office and hope for the best.
