i don't know.. i always wondered the same thing about the oven, every time i stick a cat in there they fall into a deep sleep.

One of my best friends and I even tell jokes like that too each other in school, one of the teachers there says she will keep the two of us out of Hell simply by pointing out that him and I would enjoy hell too much. Thus creating a loop-hole because hell is intended for punishment . . .

music with heavy bass doesn't make me want to go to sleep...but it sure does make me want to go to bed

Maybe the vibrations is kinda like rocking a baby to sleep. Or it is sooo deep to the cat it is like listening to a LONG SLOW murmur.

Maybe your cat is just a pusewa that cant handle bass.
