While this all sounds like fun I also have another voice in the back of my mind shouting: "Jesus H. Tapdancing Motherfucking Christ! After what we just went through in out last election you sick sadistic bastards want to have another one!"

In spite of that I'm thinking that I'd like to see these people on the ballot.

Myself, Jordyn and Dyshade, I feel that Anti-hero would do well in some political position besides president. The fact that he knows his own limits says a lot in his favor. Any of the Brits who like to post on here are also included, I'm thinking of Redmeat and Peter. (To bad that couldn't actually work since they're not citizens although if they were they probably wouldn't be as worthy and wouldn't be on my ballot in the first place)

My position on some of our current problems: Our political system is rife with corruption so that would be one of my first jobs. Maybe annexing the south would help. Civil rights have to be further protected and there are far more important things for our nation to be concerned with rather than homosexuality and abortion rights.
My solution for poverty would be to set up local run organizations that would first determine when, where and how to best help the poor. Following up with programs to get them motivated into joining the work-force or becoming self-reliant rather than just throwing money at them. I have faith in capitalism but at the same time it needs to be more balanced. Checks and balances are required for organizations that grow overwhelmingly large and powerful. This can lead to a state as oppressive as government run communism and needs to be stopped in order to encourage greater economic diversity, solidarity and freedom for entreprenuars to flourish. Finally I would begin mandating the research and use of alternative means of energy.
Counter terrorism would rely on intelligence rather than preemptive strikes. I would also attempt to rebuild our reputation in the world.

Eh... I dunno. I could make Darkforum fun, but more than fun is needed when it comes to running an e-country. We mustn't forget the extreme amounts of needless drama and unnecessary rules that are also essential.

lenina is not american enough to be president(that's a compliment, and america has some stupid rules ), anti hero hates me...wicked lady would be a perfect vice president...if dyshade is for some reason removed from office, she gets to rule anyhow...so it'd be a win/win situation.

Even though I'm new on DF I'd say that the future president would have to posses three qualities (I've mentioned this before elsewhere):

1) Open-Minded (Anyone "ruling" a diverse population should here the pleas of all, as long as logic is tied into the "plea")

2) Intelligent (Ability to make decisions using things like "fact" and "deductive reasoning) NOT: "This foriegn policy stuff is kinda complicated" - G.W. Bush

Philisophical (Always pondering the possible betterment of society)
