Great Britain are in the finals for curling but I'm very confused. Why are they mopping the ice? That is such a stupid sport but also very confusing?

It controls the speed of the stone (Makes it go faster/further if I remeber rightly). Oh and "Britain" are only there coz Scotland are so damn good at it

Yeah, I agree, Britain mostly suck at everything. Are there actually any rules to curing or is there any point oh wise one full of curling knowledge?

Seems a boring sport IMO... Scrubbing the ice reduces friction, you can steer with it as well. So no, there is not a point. Neither physically nor mentally is any person stressed in that sport, so what is it's point?

curling does look boring. i suppose its a way for non athletic people to do a sport that can be in the olympics? i watched the womens curling for a while and had a wee giggle. they look so serious.

Finally a sport that hairdressers can look forward to...

It's REALLY popular in Canada now...they have Curling Leagues and everything...although why, I have no idea...perhaps knitting is too exciting or something....

We rule at drinking games for the most part oh and destroying our reputaion by ourselfs at world cups.

As far as I know it's kind of like Bowls on ice and you have to get your stones as close to the centre of a target as possible, while keeping the other teams stones at a distance. Though I really know nothing about it.
