What a strange first post...is this the reason you joined?
I haven't travelled enough to pick a place that I think is better than NZ yet. I'm off to Hong Kong and China this Sunday, so maybe I will change my mind in a few weeks. Then again, it's monsoon season, so maybe I won't.

Don't get me wrong. If I could have a choice of anytime to live in in all history, it'd be right now. Likewise, America's in the top five locations. Probably higher, as Japan gets edged out on the basis of some really weird customs (fried fish semen? No thanks. Also the underage prostitution's a bit weird).
If not the US, then Ireland, the UK, or Canada, not least because I wouldn't have to learn a new language. If choosing on warmth, perhaps Hawaii, although it's not really immigrating, then. If I had to choose a non-English speaking country, either Germany or Norway.
