I honestly don't know. I assume it's the same reason why New England as a whole has a football team. Back when negotiations for an expansion team were in the works, Jesse Helms of NC and Fritz Hollings of SC kinda banded together to lobby for the team to be in the Carolinas. It makes more sense to have a major NFL team based out of a place like Charlotte. There's lots of money here and money to be made here. SC doesn't have any major cities. And Charleston would never let its reputation be tainted by something as grotesque as football.

WHat position did you play? I was a Middle Linbacker and Fullback.

mostly street ball, but when i was around 8 i played for a rec. my first season i was off guard, def tackle and the next season i played fullback for the A team which were all kids about 3 or 4 years older then me because i kicked so much ass the last season, so fuck off.

i did all the hitting the first season so when someone actually hit me because i had the ball in my hands it was like "holy shit, that really hurts!"

Word, I played Line backer almost from Pop warner all the way through highschool, but when I got to highschool they wanted me to carry the ball to, so they stuck me at fullback. Getting hit by the linebackers fucking hurts...
