If you have never been to a rave and saw it turn into a giant melee I can forgive your ignorance of the subject. Cram a few hundred angry teenagers in an area crank them up on drugs and pack em close together and you got a potentially explosive situation. Its why they actually NEED bouncers at clubs.

AGAIN...youre only seeing a tiny piece of what happened. there were 1500 people in a huge area. what you saw was only a very small portion of what happened. if you cant concieve of the notion that MAYBE something more than what you saw happened, youre pretty damn closeminded.

Uhh the camera moved around a few times. It was being filmed by one of the ravers, if something bad was going down they would have moved toward it. Standard tactical operation with tear gas is to literally fire into the center of the mob to ensure that you gas the majority of the. Are you saying they tear gassed a few on the outer rings of the rave? Doubtful. THe police if they were using gas would have surrounded the rave, fired gas into the center of it, came in with riot shields and clubs and quick ties and gas masks.

It is more than likely they only came in this case to shut the party down. I am guessing it WASNT legal and that the dumbass who wrote the article was just some random party goer who didnt know his ass form his elbow.

(ABC 4 News)- Hundreds of party-goers are crying foul over a safety sweep at a rave party late Saturday night.

Swat members from Utah County busted the rave at Diamond Fork in Spanish Fork Canyon. At least 60 people were arrested for various offenses.

Many who attended the rave are upset because they say authorities used excessive force to shut down the party. According to the Utah County Sheriff's office they didn't use excessive force but took the necessary measures to control a crowd of well over 500.

Authorities confiscated a table full of items at the party, there were weapons, counterfeit money and drugs. Police also made 60 arrests, the youngest arrested was a 15-year-old for illegal consumption of alcohol. The land owner and the party promoter are not out of the woods, they too will be charged within the next week.

The party organizer did get a permit from the health department but not from the health department but not from the county commissioner, which is required for a gathering of more than 250 people.

there wan't tear gas- that's for sure- I know what tear gas feels like- I WAS in basic training- but you never know

Anyways- no one knows exactly what happened out there- so leave it alone- no one is closeminded no one knows everything. The video wasn't clear they can lie in the articles- as long as their story gets published.....the thing is no one knows anything except for those there.

not only was the party NOT permitted properly, but it contained a table full of drugs, funny money and weapons. But hey they were just a few harmless raver kdis right? More proof Lily hasnt been to a real rave.

Ah ye of little knowledge... Heres what happened...

This rave was planned about a month in advance.. The cops new about it 2 weeks in advance. The night of the rave, they showed up in full riot gear with dogs and swat in tow..
They were putting on a show for the kids.. most 16-22 years old.. They recovered about 5 bowls, a bunch of rolling papers, and maybe $100.00 in drugs total from the 200 or so people there.. One girl, who was just there for the music, no drugs/alchohol on her, was thrown, litterally, to the ground and had her nose broke, and face scratch up. All because she couldn't hear the cop say 'get down' over all the noise..
There were numorous injuries, and i believe the end count was 4 people taken to the hospital.

Total overzelousness from the police force. Who, incidentally, could have prevented it by having 2 squad cars sit thier and let the kids showing up know the rave was cancelled instead of waiting for several hours till the rave got into full swing then hitting it like there was a major incident happening..

End results:
2 arrests (that stuck)
4 taken to the hospital
lots of minor injuries ( none police )
medium property damage ( all done by police )
bad PR for the local cops to everyone here.
