In fact, I've been avoiding fizzy drinks after being told the suppressant additive is what's been making me ill.

So now I drink water, as much as I dislike it, and alcoholic I go for Rum. Usually captain morgan or prussers british navy.

Haha I remember I used to HATE Mtn Dew, absolutely LOATHED it and found it WAAAY too sweet (and probably would again at this point) until one day when I was locked out of my house and I ended up spending like 18hrs hiking, and when I stopped by a friends house, all they offered me to drink was crushed ice and Mtn Dew... and goddamn if I didn't fall in love with it that day!!!

Haven't touched it in years though because the sugar content has always sorta stuck in my mind... lol Realistically it was the first glass that I enjoyed, that still makes me enjoy it whenever I do have it... its the memory of how absolutely thirst quenching it was that one day, that makes it seem thirst quenching still... odd, but true.

Im addicted to soft drinks, mixed with alcohol preferably. [I drink gallons of rum a week] im young and ive already had 2 kidney stones. (AA meeting pops in my mind for some reason...)

Dark colored soft drinks form kidney stones, clear colored soft drinks cause cramps, but do not form kidney stones. ..some kind of chemical in dark soft drinks.

That is an interesting note about the dark vs light soft drinks...

I remember getting completely turned off of 'dark' drinks one time not from being sick, but from drinking Barq's one time and looking at it and realizing to myself "This is a black liquid I'm drinking... and it tastes pretty much exactly how one would expect a black liquid to taste... gross"

Stopped drinking dark soft drinks (coke, pepsi, root beer etc) for a few years.

don't they put some chemical in dark soft drinks to make them black, instead of like.. green.. or blue(i dunno)?

Well.. Aquafina makes flavored water. They even make water with caffiene in it. Right now I'm drinking this one that tastes like berries. It's quite nice.

I try to stay away from liquid dog feces, I mean mountain dew. I'm a green tea guy myself.

Any alcoholic drink with water sounds completely and utterly disgusting, I would just opt for a nice pinapple-orange juice or maybe a cranberry.

green tea is fucking good for your health like fuck. So is regular tea. But I think alcohol is the best.. for your health.

Alcohol is a poison, a toxic chemical, drinking alcohol is akin to drinking motor oil or I don't know, urine. That usually doesn't stop me from drinking it though.
