Just some random things I've heard/seen/whatever that struck me as being quite fucked up.

Inter Dimensional Imperialism.

I saw this on the discovery channel.
It started out with a short thing about how if pollution didn't kill us, and a meteor didn't get us then the sun would expand in 5 billion years and incinerate us all.
Thus we need to get to work on colonizing another solar system/galaxy...BUT this isn't a good solution because the universe itself will burnout in approximately 10 billion years (I think thats what they said) so we're going to have to find a way to find and get into another universe/dimension.
The first thought that popped into my head was 'is there government funding for this? If so why?'

Pro Life people who bomb clinics killing medical staff, mothers and the fetuses they're trying to save is something else.

I can only think of these right now, drawing a bit of a blank all of a sudden, hopefully I'll remember the other ones later...

Yeah...in an abstract way I suppose. It suffices to say thats a whole hell of a lot longer than our race has existed thus I think it pretty stupid to start worrying about it now.

By that time, I think my reincarnated soul will be dead, too...

Actually according to Hawkings law on space.... our galaxy will end yes but the universe will never end as it is endless so has no end. As one galaxy dies in the fallout another is created and so on and so on... so there is always life at some point just not in our galaxy so you'l be reincarnated as an alien.

Besides we're all made of star dust anyway.... we're made of the exact smae stuff earth is, mars, jupiter, the sun.... etc

True, the universe is forever expanding and contracting. It goes on the Chaos Theory.

And then there's effective causality and the multiverse theory.... so really nothing will end...

Yep....

If you drop an apple it falls, however the world spins, the world orbits the sun which orbits the glaxy in a counter direction to the earth. The galaxy moves in a counter direction to the moving of the rotation of the earth and the galaxy expands and contracts shrinking orbits. So the aplle is actually..... moving up... yes the apple is going up not down or in some cases staying still.

Suspended animation...

No suspended animation is when time freezes this theory works on the principle tat when i walk i dont move the universe moves instead.

The Big Bang...
I have some issues with this idea.

Everything came from one lump/pile/whatever-the-hell-you-want-to-call-it of matter. That for some unknown reason decided at one point to cease being the lump it was and explode into the universe...From my understanding of Physics something would have had to have come along and kicked it or something to make it do that because its not just going to find energy to make a 'big bang' just chilling there in the middle of nothingness.

The fact that we had a lump of stuff in the middle of infinite nothing is another thing seems very odd that there was just one lump of stuff in the middle of nothing...how the hell did it get there in the first place?

This being the information I've been given about the whole thing the only logical heads or tails I can make out of it is this:

Our universe must be the bottom of a black hole.
The black hole sucked in all this crap from somewhere else distorting space time and forcing it into infinite compression. So then this black hole died/dried up/stopped sucking(Supposing there's an end to a black hole's lifespan) and the force keeping all this matter crushed together went away so all the matter exploded making the big bang...

Could be fuzzy logic, but today isn't one of those days when I'm putting much stock in either logic or science
