America may have helped out a lot of countries over the years, but a healthy proportion of them were for their own good. You had nothing to do with WWII until you were threatened, and also, how could you let Germany win and take over the whole of Europe, it would have become a massive threat to you then.

Although, Britian is the same. It only entered the war for that reason, the holocaust meant nothing. It's all about power rather than people.
Think of the Armenian and Rwandan genocides, who stood up to that?
