meh, Johnny Cash, Hank, etc all rule. Listen to Nick Cave, or Birthday Party, or Tom Waits. While not 'gothic' (though gothic sucks dick these days anyway), they certainly draw from country in a large way. Country is cool, if it's the right country.

It's a CD Epitaph records puts out... like a compilation CD of different punk bands. I think they put "Big in Japan" on Punk-O-Rama IV. Or was it III... I can never remember.
