Some of you may remember that my central air conditioner died last summer. Either way it's still dead. So my Dad went out and bought 4 window air conditioners incase it died out again. (the Central Air still hasn't been fixed). So then, my question is: how many of you have central air, AND window air conditioners?

Fun Fact: It's so cold in my room when I wake; that when I wake and walk out, and back in (after roughly 30 seconds) I get cold headaches. Fun.

I dont need air conditioning, I have a basement, it stays between 62 and 66 degrees during the summer

all the tile floor keeps the house cool. the basement is freezing, and there is a wind tunnel in the hallway outside of my room. as long as the backdoor is open and i stay away from the 3rd floor, i'm good.

What's Central Air?

We Brits just ain't used to this kind of heat (well not up here in the North) and my 9" fan just ain't cutting it...

Central Air is basically an air conditioner that runs through the whole house. I'm not sure if all of the use heat too. ours does, but the damn tile keeps the house from getting warm, so it's a waste of gas.

Lucky. Mines around 67-60 and it's about perfect; though I still like to have the fans running.

Personally, I prefer jumping into the water.

Air conditioning makes you weak. When the oil runs out and society comes crashing down, those raised in environmentally controlled environments will be the first to go.

Yeah I need some for the windows, that way I can open them, not have the warm air coming in, and blow the stagnate air out from down here, it really needs it.

i have central air and heat. but i rarely use either. i don't remember who posted it but i agree. when you to control your environment it makes you weak. i work outside too much. in the summer and the winter. so if i get to use to a set temp. i will overheat or get the chills. now i do have a few fans and open windows to make it more comfortable. but a small breze is all i really need in the summer.
