I am going to work.. well, having my daily life. remembering the fallen ones and the heroes... but living life. it goes on... Anger that burst out of nothing, for evolution I shall charge into uncertainty's promised land. it's been a pleasure, but I think I am gone... Same thing I`m gonna do today, maybe have a drink if I`ve got time. Work is of two kinds: first, altering the position of matter at or near the earth's surface relatively to other such matter; second, telling other people to do so.

I received this in an e-mail and it touched me.
perhaps I am sentimental, but it seems quite appropriate.

I will be staying home and watching the news. I would much rather hear about this from people who were really there than the idiots that will be droning on about it in school. gunshots fill the air - salute our bliss
night bursts into flames - greets the final kiss
death comes without a sound - rings the wedding bell
target hits the ground - honeymoon in hell
shot - shot by both sides
in a war that won't cease
they give their lives
unheard cry for peace
cities under siege - where the snipers strike
lovers out of reach - yearning out in the night
take your lovers hand - meet your destiny
down in noone's land - for eternity
...

A guy ordered some men to hijack planes and crash them into buildings.
They did so
People died.
People are still talking about it.
And this happened a year ago! Dear god that was so fucking long ago I can't believe it! man.. no wonder you have to stay around and watch news to see what happened... so long.. so long.. (\ /)

dude, john... how do you honestly expect americans to react to the anniversary of the single largest attack on america that our generations have seen? :news flash:
..it's a big deal..
our company is having a large breakfast for everyone and they've told everyone to watch the memorials on the televisions in our conference rooms for most of the morning. To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. | |

How is it a big deal? PEOPLE DIE EVERY FUCKING DAY!
Thousands upon thousands every single year.. and I mean thousands!
And because some people got sloppy and wound up killing a few thousand people everyone is "celebrating" the damn day, since that is what they are doing, they are doing shit in "remembrance", which is idiotic since it would only deepen the damn wound, since it would remind the person about what happened.
That's why I don't give a damn for pearl harbor day, though that in itself is pretty stupid... and what about oklahoma day? For that building in oklahoma which got blown up?
I know... why don't we celebrate Holocaust day, for all of the jews who got killed by hitler and the germans, plus the non-jews.. and others.
Oh oh oh! I have a better idea! We can celebrate Nuke the Japs day! (\ /)

Oh oh oh! I have a better idea! We can celebrate Nuke the Japs day! | i'm liking the 'nuke the japs day' idea... but back to the point, people have been remembering or celebrating days in history since civilization began. that's what began the cycle of history in the first place; some old guy in a village gathering everyone up to tell them about the day tuk-terk battled the giant horned beast and died saving his village. there were a lot of people that died sitting at their desks that day, but there were also a lot of hero's that died that day rescuing survivors of that terrorist attack. just because you shut everything out and deny that the day means anything doesn't mean that everyone else should follow suit. september 11th effected america whether it effected you or not and almost every american that isn't struck with some delusional anti-9.11 campaign is going to take a minute out of their day to pay respect to those that died. My atittude is quite fine, because, unlike most people, I don't like emotions constantly cloud my judgement. I would much rather waste my time pestering people like you guys, then wasting my time "remembering" that a bunch of people got killed. (\ /)
