Okay I've seen alot of posts on here lately about religion. I personally think that no one should be condmned for his/her religion. I,for instance believe in God. No, I have not always belived in God (long story) But the fact is that I do. And I hate the rep. people get 4 beliveing in God. Listen up I know alot of Christians who are hypocrites,but I also know alot of Christians who are not. Well,anyways thats really all I have to say. Go ahead and reply back calling me a "stupid Christian" I dont really care.;)

eh to each his own. i really don't know much about a lot of religions. so i don't know what i am. call me stupid or ignorant, but i don't want to get into it right now. i know i believe in god.

I find it a sad sad world when people are made fun of for prayers and beliefs, but, it happens, and this is a sad world. Always will be.

I'm not religious. I perhaps will never be religious unless if I get a wife and she wants me to be.

But I understand that most religious people are ripped on becuase of their beliefs. Those who do that are pitiful children who are desperate to remain "powerful" in their own mind.

As for what beliefs you follow, just remember this fact:
It has never been proven that the bible or any other religious book was written by prophets, because they could instead be people who set up false beliefs to feel special.

Well, I haven't really noticed anyone here get a bad rap for believing in God. Maybe that's also because I'm not here as often as I used to be. But it seems fine for you to stand up for yourself, nothing wrong with that, & I certainly don't hold it against you.

And John, I never thought of that. You are one smart cookie! But I still believe in God though, but as in my quote, I hate him. I don't think he's perfect because he has the ability to kill, & if I remember correctly, he made humans in his "likeness". So if he made us like him, does that make us perfect too?

I've lately begun to question my faith. I was raised Catholic. I went to Mass (never missed it), went to Catholic school, said my confession and did my penance regularly, and tried to be the kind of person the church dictates us to be. But I think the problem with my faith is that I never made the decision on my own. I've gone to church faithfully, because if I didn't I would be punished by my parents. That said, do I truly "have the faith", or am I just the product of my parents' teaching.

Wicked Lady, this is why you should start some Philosophizong and such, the goal of Philosophy is to become self autonomous, and to question things for yourself nd decide if thats truly what you want to believe. Ive quoted Blakes Charater Los before ill do it here again, "i must create a system for myself, or be enslaved by another mans". If youre really a begginer try anything by PLato about Socrates, (IE) The Republic, Eurpthro,Crito,Thrasymachus, or the apology, they are all good for you to start you on that road. Now that you realize that you may not believe what youve been exposed to your whole life you can get into some serious thought About wether or not youll keep those beliefs alter them, or drop em whole.
