I don't see how that follows... The Laws of Thermodynamics are that a) energy can never be created or destroyed, only converted from one form to another, b) The Entropy (disorder) in a system increases in the course of every energy conversion and c) The Entropy in any system can never be zero...
Translated into English, this means that a) You can't win, b) You can't break even, and c) You can't leave the game.
Eventually, the entropy of the Universe will become so great that every energy resevoir will be used up, and at that point, life will no longer be able to exist, since we rely on energy conversion for our survival...
