A short story is good because if these women are really stalking her then they are saying all kinds of crap behind her back. Who knows what their problem is. Maybe they are jealous or they always looked down on her so they can't understand why everyone likes her better. It could be she dated the wrong guy, but then it would need to be clearified if he was taken or the stalker a mental case that claims possesion of men she doesn't know or is "Just Friends With." You know what that means. We all do. The stalker is ugly, offensive, clingy, psycho, unhygenic, fat and/or a closet lesbian. So you know these details are VERY important.
