There's one problem with religious discussion that I've noticed. I think this is one of the reasons many people don't like talking about it. There are a lot of people out there who will make a rather sad attempt at appearing to be interested by responding "okay, that's nice. well here's what *I* think." And then they go into their beliefs and completely dismiss what you just said. Now I know some people are actually interested and then want to share their beliefs too, but many do try to hide their close-mindedness.
