when i was on a cruise once, there was this huge storm at night. the ship was in the middle of the ocean, so there was nothing else around in any direction. i stood up on the bow of the boat for close to two hours watching the lighting erupt from cloud to cloud all around me. it was completely mesmerizing... one of the coolest things i've seen to this day.
