how i would take the approach is just discuss with the person how their racism makes you feel...there's a difference between being racist and ignorant...i know what it's like because at one point i was ignorant...i grew up in a racist environment, with little to no other races involved...then one day i moved to the city.
i ended up with a puerto rican roomate with a child by a black man...one night we were getting drunk and started talking about racism...after half a bottle she pointed out that i wasn't racist, i was ignorant...my opinions on other races was based on other peoples opinions...by the summer time some of my best friends were hispanic and black...
it's a matter if you want the friendship or not...if you don't feel they are a person you could continue being with or not...it's up to you, but why are the racist? To view links or images in signatures your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. |
