"Smart boy. I tip my hat to you angel, you catch on quicker than I thought." pacing the room slightly, she motions toward a chair.

"Do sit down. This may take a while."

Clearing her throat, she begins to speak, the youthful edge in her voice gone now replaced with one of great wisdom.

"Thousands of years ago, there was an Egyptian family that had Hebrew slaves. The youngest of the Egyptians was called Nokomis, after the great goddess of wisdom. The child grew and she became close friends with the slave girl, Miriam. Miriam was an odd child, considering she had the sight, she never once showed any inclination proving she had her powers.

That all changed when Nokomis' father murdered the High Priestess of Nokomis, for her lack of interest in his sexual prowess.For he was a married man, you see.

This had angered Miriam, a child no older than ten, to a great extent. Nokomis' father, fearing the child would tell of his adulterous ways, planned to kill the child. Nokomis, hearing of this plot, attempted to save Miriam, by taking her to a caravan that travelled to Nubia.

Her father cut them off at the edge of town saying that 'The child with the sight must die'. Jumping in the way of her father's blade, Nokomis sacrificed her life to help her friend.

Then something odd happened, Miriam began to change. Age abnormally fast. Soon she grew to her actual height. It was the goddess Nokomis herself.

Restoring the child back t her living form, she avenged her priestess' death, killing the man before her. Thanking the child for her sacrifice, she honored her with a gift, the pendant that is known now as the Amulet of Nokomis.

Since that day, all females in the family have been named after a goddess of wisdom, no matter what the language to honor the great goddess Nokomis.

This amulet is able to summon not only Nokomis, but every god and goddess that the master wishes. Only those in the bloodline are able to control this mighty power. My mother, the angel Pallas Athene, a Dark Angel owned this power.

However, she was slayed while in her human form and the amulet was stolent from her. As the next in line to recieve this awesome treasure, I have to find it. Or else I must sacrifice my life to make this power dormant again. I need your help locating it. I ask this of you because I consider you a good friend and you are the only one I can trust.
