"It is true" or "Fact is that" are not statements that will convince me of viability. I'd rather proof than your say so that it is true. And I don't criticize "my" enemies (aren't they the enemies of the country, not me in particular?) because it's quite obvious that I am against the already dead terrorists that caused the bombing and the still alive members that orchestrated the attacks. My problem comes from what is currently a reminder of McArthy; call someone a terrorist and the public believes you.
It's easier to criticize the US government because I know more about it. If I lived in another country, I'd probably despise their government just as much. Bismarck once said "Fools say they like to learn from their experiences, but I prefer to learn from the experience of others."
