It'd be unfair to compare a 90 minutes movie with a six season show in terms of quantity, so I'll go with quality. On which grounds, the movie is better. The series is good, but it was best during the first three seasons. The fourth was alright, but most of what happened after that sucked. I dislike Buffy, and I hate her entire family and want them to die. And Reilly or whatever his name is needs to die a horrible death to. Angel was mildly annoying, but Reilly just makes me want to reach through the computer screen and kick his teeth out. Same thing with Buffy's sister. Basically, they've turned the series way too much into the entire Universe revolving around Buffy, i.e., the "Xena Syndrome".
