Most of these games are simply incompatible with the NT5 kernel coding. The NT5 kernel prevents direct access to hardware, games require it... Installing Service Pack 1 may help a bit. I hear there is improved compatibility with it...
In any event, you can always try and boot with a bootfloppy, into DOS... Load the correct drivers, and use the command prompt to start the game. The games you mention were meant to run under DOS anyway if I recall corectly. ... Time has no bearing... ...when the whiteout begins...
