I prefer strategy games to be turn-based. In most real-time games it often comes to which player has a better reaction, quicker reflexes, etc. I leave that for action games. I like it more when a strategy game gives you time to think and make a right decision. I hate it when I need to rush to do something as well. When I am playing a game I want to have fun and calm down first of all and don't like to have a timelimit hanging on me. Turn-based games are also usually much more complex and have much more tactical variations on how to win, and most real-time strategies are limited to either "rush for the kill in the very beginning" or "accumulate a big army and swarm your opponent" tactics... |
