Yeah, I was talking about one frickin aspect of the book , not the whole thing. Just, the complacency of the people, the "We're number one" type patriotic speech, all of that stuff.

And I for one would like at least a week's notice so I can get out of the country, to some good, safe, hideaway (unless nukes are involved, in which case I'll have to wait many years, until my underground home is finished ; not just "underground" but UNDERGROUND ). No, I'm not delusional, but it'd be cool.
