I liked Signs because it was not overly graphic.

There WERE a few plot holes.If someone commits manslaughter with a vehicle even by accident, isn't there mandatory jail time?

When the sheriff saw on the t.v that what was happening at Mel Gibson's farm was global, how come she did not alert the feds?

The biggest plot hole : if you are an invading alien race with superior technology ,wouldn't you be able to protect yourself from water? Yes whoever wrote that took that part directly from War of the Worlds.

I liked the film though. A few in the movie house with me hated it. My two friends that saw it with me hated it. They wanted more action.

The film could have been tightened up just a bit.
That director who starred in the film is trying to regain his "Sixth Sense" streak.
