I left out another option-
6. The bible was once a respectable piece of literature, but the church chose retarded people to translate it for them. This can slove the issues of its incoherantness, but says nothing of how or who wrote it first.

I don't know much about the dead sea scrolls. I find that most the information about them comes from christian theologians and the like, who have great reason to be subjective and bend the facts. Please, tell us more about what you know about them.
