Has anyone actually read the bible? Go read genesis. It's incoherant. People come from nowhere, it contradicts itself in the order of creation, and there are still traces of polytheism in it (despite the churches attempts to hide it) The first jews believed in more than one god, but they thought their god, yahweh, who is now the christian god, too, was superior to the other gods. After adamn and eve eat the apple, god says something like "now theyll be like us." In context, it doesn't make sense because the church changes all the places it said gods to god. If the bible is gods word than it seems one of five things is possible, but of couse there can be other options, or it can be a combination of these-
1. god thinks we are idiots and wrote the bible at a second grade reading level. This doesn't explain the mistakes and contradictions.
2. god inspired a retarded person, or group of retarded people, to write the bible. This may explain the errors within the bible.
3. I am retarded and cannot follow the story correctly. It makes perfect sense for adam and eve, the only people in existence, to have two children, who then get married to other people that came from nowhere. Also, there really was a flaming sword defending the garden of eden. There are no errors in the bible, I am just slow.
4. god is retarded and cannot come up with a fluid story without errors. he probably also reads very poorly. This would explain the problems in the bible.
5. Retarded men, with no divine help or inspiration, wrote the bible. This not only explains the contradictions but makes the most sense.
