Let me point out something:

Animal 1 grows better hearing.

Animal 2 does not.

Animal 3 is a predator, unlike 1 & 2.

Animal 3 eats Animal 1.

Animal 2 has babies.

Animal 4 appears, and has ears like animal 1.


Anyone care to explain that? Especially since, sadly, that is how evolution has happened.
