The Salem witch trials------19 people hanged, over 400 accused of witchcraft.... by 1693 an order made by the governor of massachusetts released over 150 people still being held in jails all across the massachusetts territory-- this pales in comparison to the witch trials held all over europe......Germany by far being the worst..... hell they are good at persecution ...oh and the crucible is a wonderful play to read concerning this particular era...also young goodman brown by hawthorne and the scarlet letter also by hawthorne...his father was one of the major players in the whole...scenario...
