Dyshade, thanks for this thread. I thought about trying to take this issue on in a thread but decided it would probably too hard since creationists make use of the "shotgun" argument. Basically, they ask 7000 little questions that are based on half truths or blatant lies. The problem with this is, no scientists, let alone either of us, can deal with all of the questions since they range across every field of science. Another problem is they refuse to ever let go of an argument. I still hear about the quantity of dust on the moon and the dinosaur and human footprints being found together. Both of these "arguments" were proven void but creationists will not stop using them because they hope to confuse naive people into believing they're right. The bible actually says in it somewhere that it is ok to lie for god, I'm pretty sure, so it isn't like they're breaking any of their own rules. Fucking your mother doesn't make me any less of a HOMO. |
