As to the issue of how God can love us, and still send us to hell, one needs to understand that God is holy. Its His nature. He is also Just. While He loves mankind very much, He cannot let sin go unpunished, because He is just. So, God offers man the opportunity to have his punishment transfered to Jesus Christ (God is still just-someone is punished for the sin)made possible by Jesus' perfection, innocent death, and ressurection. This option is placed at man's feet. Should one believe in Christ? Yes. However, not all choose to, obviously. God is prevented from bringing us to heaven with him because of one's stubborness and rebellion. His just nature (from which he may not deter) compels God to send us to our due punishment. And I declared that the dead, who had already died, are happier than the living, who are still alive. But better than both is he who has not yet been, who has not seen the evil that is done under the sun.
