Firewalls do NOT prevent mail viruses, only internet hacking attempts. Also, firewalls cannot prevent viruses from spreading via floppies and the such, nor prevent spreading between individual computers within the LAN itself. A firewall is for network security, not virus protection.

They keep the virusscanner companies alive (conspiracy, anyone?), *sarcasm* they get "1337ness" (eliteness) points for their succesful viruses */sarcasm*, they think themselves cool. Basically, they show that they can use Outlook a bit, and show that Micky$oft still cannot make decent software. Ah well.
