Iron rich foods are a good way to combat anemia, but with women, an iron supplement is still a really good idea. Women need extra iron, anyway, generally, as we lose it once a month. Although if I remember correctly Starface, for the next 9 months or so, you don't have to worry about loss of iron, in the normal way

In any case, especially while you're pregnant an iron supplement is a good idea. Anemia and pregnancy are a bad combination.
Incidentally, fyi - while you're pregnant extra folic acid is a good idea as well. It prevents birth defects. Most good pre-natals have extra, but if you don't eat alot of red meats.. (or Redmeat) then a supplement of that doesn't hurt, either.
