As for christians who wear the cross, they do it as a symbol of their faith, and the sacrifice made for humanity by Jesus. Notice I said "humanity", not just for people who believe he was the actualy the son of God. It clearly states this in the Bible, John 3:16. The Catholic cross differs in appearance from the Penticostal cross in the fact that they show Christ still hanging from it, whereas Penticostal's believe in Christ's ressurrection after the third day, essentially having conquered death. This is why he is not present on it in any forms. |
