FIRST - do not believe everything your hear on the news. Don't judge a country by the reporters reporting on it.Every one of them has a different point of view/ or agenda.
What you are not understanding is that Afghanistan has been a rogue country for the past 10 years plus. That was their choice not to change the things happening in their own country. You have seen the US go to war against itself over the policy of slavery, And good won then, as it will now.
I am an American, I was in the military, I worked on electronic countermeasures, and I can understand some of whats going on here and I can do it with an open mind.
Here's a question for you: Would you rather the US stay OUT of every political situation and just sit back and watch. I wouldn't, the world would quickly go to hell. The underdog is not always able to fight for itself.
On the issue of "accidentally" hitting the wrong target, try looking at all the electronics inside a smart bomb that could possibly fail. Then add all the mechanical parts that could possibly fail. Most of which is made by the lowest bidder... hello... Then add all the computer code that could possibly fail. HOW COULD you expect it to be perfect...? Christ, we had a catastrophic failure on our own space shuttle, WAS THAT PLANNED? To kill a schoolteacher in front of her students? Every country in the world has these problems too, it's not just us. As a matter of fact, I think it's a pretty fucking amazing thing that it works 85% of the time CONSISTENTLY.
Oh - and if you drop pamphlets on a country, telling them that you're going to bomb them, and don't leave, how does that make you guilty? If your mother (no I am not saying the US is everybody's mother) told you don't stick the fork in the wallplug, you'll get hurt .. well... DUH! Forgiveness? That's between you and your God.
