OK, this is a space empire building SD. You will create a race and a starting system, brief history and culture. We are in a galaxt half the size of the milky way.

No time travel and no instant kills, unless the other ship is severily overgunned by your ship.

I'll start the SD when I get five people signed up. Your first post should look something like this;

Race: Ta'ali
Home world: Tae'ei'li
Home system: Tae'ra'ir

The Ta'ali are a race of enegry beings tat have devloped as enegry pattens in rocks. They rely on mind powers do anything. The Ta'ali evolved from rocks that were bombarded by radiation, creating the patterns of the Ta'ali.

They have an extremely high powered astral projection power, extending out for 150 million km. They have the power of TK (The power can extend farther the less mass is moved or fragile/intricate the object is), as well as telepathy that extends up to 1 milloin Km on record. The whole race can multiply their collective powers by the numbert of people involved..

Enegry is gained through solar radiation collection. That power can be saved up for 2000 hours before some enegry must be expelled or used so more can be collected.

They reproduce by two Ta'ali creating an energy matrix in a medium sized rock. Similarly the Ta'ali can share their gift with other beings by modfing their brain pattern to collect enegry from hyperspace and to use that power in real space. (Read: Witches)

Homeworld: Tae'ei'li

Tae'ei'li is a garden planet that is constaintly bright green, has waterfalls and looks beautiful, but other race stay away from the planet because the peaceful, picture perfect enviorment holds a deadily secret. There is no Ozone equivleton Tea'ai'li, thus resulting in that a human would get burned in 10 minutes, if standing in diect sunlight.

The entire eco-system is based off of collecting sunlight. thus the Ta'al revernce for life is almosta weakness, since th e never had to kill to survive.

Culture:

Getting back to the point, tsome Ta'ali have been known to commit sucide after accdentilly killing anything being, by dispersing their enegry pattern.

They speent a considerable amount of nonwork time finding just the right pearch on which they can drink light of a certain color, that has bounced off plants, water, grass. etc.
