I think "In mans opinion" could be inserted at the start of most of the quoted sentences in this paragraph.
The same could be inserted to all the references about animals also.
"The Victor writes the history" can also mean "the Stronger writes the history"
So man places himself above both women and animals, placing them in the same class.
And we know that Women and Men are equal in most things so therefore man is judging himself as an animal.

Just thought I'd add some convoluted logic to the discussion
