Spiffy ain't it?
Well i meant it as a joke given your pensive longing for the most nonsensical explanation for that which we as citizens don't yet know to be true, however I've heard this jargon before, "there's something going on in area 51, that's why they won't let anyone see what's there!" IT'S A GODDAMN MILITARY BASE, THAT'S WHY. The military has top secret bases for a reason, it's called no loose ends. Especially when they're builiding something extra special, like the B-2. This way people, esp. spies don't know where to look, let alone what to look for, besides, you can't be too careful, just look at that cockjockey Hansen who is partially responsible for a lot of this nonsense.
Besides, it can't be all that top secret if people snapped photos of it... or claimed to... i love claims, like the claims that bodies were carried off from the Roswell crash site... give me a break, you're horridly straying from the issue.
Well ain't it just a kick in the pants that
1. Governmental officials are doing "illegal" things all the time and they don't get in all that much trouble, except of course if the government wants us to ignore something else that is occuring.
i refuse to give any further acknowledgement to your baseless speculation. make a point or stand down. Any yahoo can say the government is corrupt, doesn't make you special. The only thing that makes you special, is that little girl.
2. Diplomats have "diplomatic immunity", which means they could go up to someone, shoot them in the head, and then walk away while many people witness what happened... and nothing could be done to them.
nothing except for them being extradited back to their country and tried under THEIR court system, which tend to be exponentially harsher than the American court system, usually resulting in death sentences carried out immediately. I guess that's sorta like nothing... 3. If I so much as smoke a cig *which I won't, I hate them* in a public place in my county, I will receive a hefty fine... or if I was say... muslim or some other religion from thereabouts, then I would be persecuted as of 9/11 thanks to the infamous retardedness of many a people, INCLUDING police officers.
The smoking laws are ridiculous, as a smoker i can attest to that, but god forbid the average citizen doesn't want to breathe in proximity to me emitting a cancer causing vapour... next you're going to tell me that weed is a victimless crime and the fact it isn't legal shows what kind of facists really run this country. Please, you're giving me smoking laws to attest to how "cruel" our government is?
The violent persecution of muslims and similar peoples in this country was for the most part done by other citizens... as for the detainment of several hundred arabian people, they are only targeting people who may have some semblence of connection with the attack, and well, when 3 major buildings are attacked and destroyed, 7000 american civilians die, our entire airline security infrastructure is usurped, and war is impending, the Government really doesn't have time to be polite. Violation of rights you say? See: Probable Cause.
Since it has never been done before, then we don't really know how close we are to having it done to us are we? Especially when someone could go and buy just about every politician in D.C., and then have them all work together to try and get Martial Law happening.
Ok, i want you to look up what Martial Law is and then re-read the statement you just posted.... but since you wont, here we go.
Martial Law is declared when the city or state is in such a state of chaos (usually during war) when the Military has to be called in to maintain control. This wouldn't be something that would be declared unless most figures of political authority were annihilated, or riots beyond control engulfed an area. Like i've said ad nauseum, if Martial Law wasn't declared in NY (the only place it would have been declared) on Sept 11, it's not likely to happen.
We are far too large of a country for martial law to feasably happen all over... And no politican, let alone all of them is going to declare martial law, as BY THE VERY DEFINITION, would render them powerless, unless the President was attempting to set up some sort of monarchy with him as the sole leader, however, that's where the system of checks and balances come in.
In conclusion, No. Perhaps it's the one that was talked about for a few seconds on the news a day or so after the incident, that stated that the White House had received a letter a week or so before 9/11 that stated that on a day which resembled the emergency number *this isn't the exact wording* then something would happen, and it was signed by Bin Laden.
Seeing as Mr. Laden likes to send letters to his targets BEFORE he does his plan, it would make some sense if our government had acted accordingly and went all super crazy with being protective on 9/11... which they didn't.
Is this more of those 20/20 hindsight sort of propagandist notions? I don't recall any message from bin Laden anytime in the last year or so, maybe my machine needs a new tape... maybe he doesn't have my number at the new apt... They're called Black Ops for a reason buddo.
You've given me inspiration that conspiracy theorism is almost like most religions... there's no need for logic or proof, it's all blind faith that the gov't has special unseen operations that are going on under our noses, yet, are never seen, talked about, or detremental to our daily lives. How intriguing.
JP, you used to be one of the people on this board i respected, but it seems like you're arguing for the sake of argument, and not really making any damn sense. You've gone from discussion and devils advocacy to simply useless antagonism and posturing. Do you even remember why this discussion started? Judging by your responses, i don't think you do.
