I checked out that Pirates Online, Disney's Pirates of the Carribbean MMO. It's pretty standard fare...run around, get quests, kill things to collect stuff to take back to the NPC and then on to the next one. And of course the neverending stream of chat..."Put me on your friends list!" "cum joyn my cru!" "come on bord my ship its bigger!!!!!!11!"
The ship-to-ship combat is the only innovative thing on the game. You can group together as crews, with one person manning the helm and the rest acting as gunners. Other than that, pretty mediocre...yet people are still paying for monthly access for all the "special features" rather than play for free. Go figure.
