I run my tongue across your lips to taste your frightened desires
They're hanging like a dead man untouched for fear of disease
Gently entangled but fragile like an acrobat on a high wire
I stand with arms open, the net to your falling screams

Your nails dig into these shoulders as my breath stops in shock
fingers like shovels trying to uncover some beautiful treasure
But theres nothing wonderous in a chest that reveals nothing when unlocked
Its just the chest, decaying and weathered

Our eyes meet like an agreement to what you'll never know
because behind those blues are a yearning for a love with no hurt
Begging these greens to see what goes on behind the show
theres no depth to a dried up pool, the illusions the comfort
