Part of taking a stand is accepting the consequences.
If the Boy Scouts, as an organization, are going to stand up for what I presume are their beliefs concerning homosexuals, then they should willingly... hell, GLADLY... accept the consequences for such a stand.
The only real question is is the city telling the truth concerning the inability to "legally rent taxpayer-owned property for a nominal sum to a private organization that discriminates." This is a matter of fact, not opinion. Someone should look it up. Is there, or is there not a preexisting law or guideline concerning non-discrimination? If there is, then the only thing to discuss is whether or not the law is fair. I think it is. If there IS no such law or guideline, then the discussion becomes a matter of "spot the liar" and "do you agree with the reason behind the lie".
