If you feel you were insulted personally, I would suggest reporting it to the moderator.

My point was that you listed your idea of great shows being the lowest common denominator of television: comedy. Not saying I don't enjoy the mindless entertainment that comes from Two and a Half Men etc.. But if those shows are the yardstick against which you measure all other shows, I think anything with any sort of substance is going to fall ridiculously short.
