...in general on the topic; what would be the original basis for traditional satanism, not the contemporary Levayan stuff, but the dramatic spooky sort immortalized in the 70's and 80's horror genre and hype; it seems there was a fair bit of it, really practiced. Surely not all of it is based on bastardized roman catholic rituals and various forms of demonology, in that concept wouldn't it be older than gardnerian witchery?
