I'm a big fan of the Opie and Anthony Radio show. Today they put out this press release:

Apparently they were suspended by XM Satellite Radio for one of the little bits they did that went "too far". I listen to a LOT of radio, far more than I watch TV, and this trend is starting to get frightening. First Imus gets fired for saying, what was to me, a really weak and only vageuly racial comment. Now radio hosts are dropping like flies. How long until this starts moving away from comedy shock jocks and into the Rush Limbaughs and Shawn Hannitys of the airwaves... people who are actually driving forces in the political world as well?

It looks to me like our freedom of speech is under attack by extreme special interest groups, and its starting to piss me off.

Any thoughts?
