gilmour easy to see?
his last album release was almost impossible to get tickets for and they cost fuckloads, and dissapeared within a day. i didn't go on the grounds of it costing way too fucking much. i don't think that's down to him though, more his production companies who know they can reel in the cash. they werent the ones that sold his 3.6 million £ mansion and gave the money to a charity to build homes and community centres for the homeless because -
"It seemed obscene of us to be rattling around in such a large home when others had nowhere to live. I'd had the house 20 years, It took me a long time to persuade myself to sell it, but Polly said: 'You don't bloody need it, it's too big, it's a bloody great mausoleum'."
its a shame they don't get on but hey, such is life. waters was the brains but i don't think he was the soul. all of them were that. i'd say the soul still lay with syd as that's where they all drew their energy from and who they looked up to all the way til the end.
pulse was still an absolutely mental performance. they did well after waters' left, but nothing with the same balls and creativity really. some brilliant tracks such as sorrow, but they were more just a rock band with extra flair. if only i could get a real video recording off the wall live. i've got the superdeluxe "is there anybody out there" but thats all sadly.
have you heard waters' opera thing he was doing? i'd like to check it out.
