i've used media player classic, but i must say i'm guilty of using wmp11 and i also use a program called Core Media Player for playing .ogg dual audio with subtitle tracks.

sad to say, but i havent come across a player i like as much as wmp11, other than core. but core crashes alot and doesn't have any rip/burn/library functions at all. its just good for playing formats wmp cant handle.

MPC is probably the best you will find. trying to remember a really old school mp3 player i used to use, not sure about its functions though.
