the world has gone crazy. we have funded goat-herders (by buying oil) to the point where they can now turn on us and we don't seem to be able to do anything about it. all the money, lives and public support got spent on the wrong war. the barbarian hordes are now banging on the gates. sounds unhappily familiar.
